The Yuejin Automobile Plant was built in Nanjing on the basis of an army repair and service center and an automobile workshop back in 1947.
Specialists from the USSR actively participated in the construction of the automobile plant.
At first, analogues of the Soviet 2.5-ton GAZ-51 trucks called NJ-130 were assembled at the Nanjing Automobile enterprise, and work was carried out in parallel to build an auto parts plant.
Subsequently, Nanjing Auto has repeatedly adopted advanced technology to enhance the competitiveness of its vehicles.
In the mid-80s, the Chinese truck factory began to use some technologies from the Italian companies IVECO and Fiat, and cooperation with the Japanese Isuzu made it possible to launch the production of one of the IVECO Daily versions in Nanjing.
In 1995, the China government decided to rename Nanjing Automobile to Yuejin Motor Corporation, and since 2002, foreign investors began to take part in the management of the corporation.
Today, under the Yuejin brand, not only commercial trucks and vans are produced, but also cars, as well as agricultural machinery.
Yuejin trucks are represented by three models:
- truck Yuejin NJ 1020 with a carrying capacity of 0.935 tons;
- truck Yuejin NJ 1041 with a carrying capacity of up to 1.4 tons;
- truck Yuejin NJ 1080 with a carrying capacity of 5 tons.
In addition, each truck model is produced with three standard sizes of cabins:
- standard (single) triple;
- one and a half triple;
- double-row six-seater.
