Volkswagen Crafter Pritsche is a small or medium-duty flatbed truck with a 4 / 2 wheel arrangement, which is designed to transport various types of cargo on the roads of the general network.
The first generation of the truck debuted in 2006, replacing the VW LT model, outdated in all respects, on the assembly line, and in 2011 it underwent a planned update, having changed externally and internally and received modernized power units
The truck continued its “life cycle” until 2016, when it was replaced by the assignee.
For the first Volkswagen Crafter Pritsche, several cabin options have been announced - standard (designed to accommodate two or three people, including the driver) or double (which can accommodate up to seven seats).
The truck has a length of 5328-7038 mm, of which 3250-4325 mm is occupied by the wheel base, it extends 1993-2190 mm in width, and does not exceed 2340-2425 mm in height.
Depending on the modification, the truck can take on board from 650 to 2793 kg of cargo, and its total (permissible design) weight varies from 3000 to 5000 kg.
In the version with a standard cab, the internal length of the onboard body is 2840-4300 mm, and with a four-door - 2130-3600 mm (the width in both cases fits into 2030-2130 mm).
For the Volkswagen Crafter truck of the first incarnation, a wide range of power plants is provided, combined with a rear-wheel drive transmission:
Trucks produced before the restyling of 2011 have in-line five-cylinder TDI engines of 2.5 liters with a turbocharger, Common Rail injection system and intercooler in the engine compartment, developing 88-303 horsepower (65-220 kW) and 220-560 Nm of torque .
The upgraded trucks have 2.0-liter TDI and BiTDI fours with one or two turbochargers, common rail battery power and aftercooling, producing 109-163 hp. (80-120 kW) and 300-400 N m of ultimate thrust.
