Major achievements marked the history of Tatra trucks.
In the 30-s, Tatra T 72, T 82 and T 92 truck families were produced.
These models served as the basis for several dozen modifications and versions for various purposes.
In 1942, according to the project of G. Ledwinka, the production of Tatra T 111 truck, the first truck with an air-cooled diesel engine and a 6x6 wheel arrangement, began.
According to experts, it was the best car of those years.
At the end of the fifties, it was replaced by Tatra T 137 / 138 with an aerodynamic cockpit by the outstanding designer E. Kovař, and in 1970 by Tatra T 148.
1967 was a turning point in the history of the company - in Kopřivnice, the production of Tatra T 813 Kolos, a powerful 8x8 cabover car, began.
The model range T 815 (1983) that replaced it, and later T 815-2, currently forms the basis of the Tatra production program.
In recent years, Tatra has mastered the production of trucks of two new families - cabover TERRNo1 as a continuation of the 815-2 version and the bonneted truck T163-3.
Tatra continues to improve the design of its vehicles and expand their production.
Now the company's production program includes 4 families of heavy-duty off-road trucks, two of which include general-purpose vehicles, and two - special vehicles for the needs of the army and work in difficult climatic conditions.
Tatra TERRNo1 is a series of cabover vehicles, which is a continuation of the work on the modernization of the 815-2 family with wheel arrangements from 4x4 to 8x8.
They are available as dump trucks with three-way and rear unloading, truck tractors, flatbed trucks and as a chassis for mounting vans, construction machines and special equipment.
Tatra T163-3 is a revived family of heavy trucks with a classic bonnet layout with a 6x6 wheel arrangement.
They are intended for use primarily as dump trucks in heavy off-road conditions.
Tatra Force - 6x6 and 8x8 wheel formula vehicles for operation in particularly difficult climatic conditions.
They can be equipped with army-type onboard platforms, a container loading system, and tanks.
It is possible to manufacture armored cabins, cabins with hatches for mounting small arms, etc.
Tatra Armax - special vehicles with the number of axles from two to five, designed for army needs.
