Above on the page there're some PDF Manuals, Electric Wiring Diagrams & Spare Parts Catalogs for TATA Trucks.
The Tata 407 truck has been on the assembly line for thirty-five years, and during this time more than 1.2 million units have been produced.
Moreover, the Indians take into account only the beginning of the launch of the production of this model in India, but in fact the truck is much older.
Because back in 1954, the Indians bought a license for trucks from Mercedes (it even owned part of Tata's shares until recently).
And the model Tata 407 is based on a whole family of small-tonnage vehicles with a gross weight of 3.5-4.56 tons, which started back in the early 1970s.
It later grew into the well-known Tata T2 family. And in India, this machine with a cab, developed by the Hanomag brand, has been produced since 1985, repeatedly modernized.
But at the core it has not changed: a simple design, spring parabolic suspension, a naturally aspirated diesel engine with a capacity of 65-80 hp, a five-speed manual gearbox.
The newest version received the same diesel engine, brought to a power of 85 hp. with a maximum torque of 285 Nm.
It now runs on compressed methane, the tank holds 180 liters.
The total weight is almost five tons, the length of the cargo platform is 4.5 meters.
Of the modern amenities, the driver has access to a radio tape recorder (Blaupunkt, which is specially noted) and a USB output.
