Peugeot starts selling the new Peugeot Landtrek pickup truck in Latin America.
Sales of new items in this region will start in two stages: first, the pickup will be available in Mexico, Uruguay, Ecuador, Paraguay, Panama, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti and Chile, and in the second stage it will appear in Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.
The largest-selling full-size pickup truck segment is almost entirely concentrated in North America.
Peugeot has decided to position the new Landtrek in the one-tonne pickup truck segment, which is very popular outside of Europe and represents almost half of the LCV market in Latin America.
Sales in this segment in 2019 amounted to 2.5 million vehicles, and almost 410,000 of them were sold in South America.
With 1 in 2 vehicles sold globally in the commercial vehicle market being a pickup truck, this global approach suggests that Peugeot's sales volumes and market share will increase outside of Europe.
Recall that the new Peugeot Landtrek pickup truck was introduced in February this year.
The design of the model was developed by Peugeot in close cooperation with international specialists from Europe, Japan and the USA.
The dimensions of the truck correspond to the parameters accepted on the market: the length of the version with a double cab is 5.33 m, with a single cab it is 5.39 m.
The width of both models is 1.92 m.
In any modification, the payload exceeds one ton, and in some versions it can reach 1.2 tons.
The cargo area has LED lighting and allows you to connect accessories through a special 12-volt outlet.
The capabilities of the truck allow you to tow loads weighing up to 3 tons.
For those who have to transport particularly long loads, a simplified version with a single cab is available.
This version does not have a rear bumper, allowing the tailgate to open 180 degrees.
