The Honda Acty is a light truck that dates back to 1977 and is still in production today.

 

Honda Acty is translated as active, mobile, and this name was chosen for a reason, since the car is positioned for active work.

 

This model is a continuation of the TN360 series, which was produced from 1967 to 1977.

 

Honda Acty falls under the mini truck standards, which are very popular in Japan.

 

The fact is that mini trucks are very economical and enjoy special privileges in Japan.

 

On July 27, 1977, the first generation of Honda Acty was released, which replaced: TN360 and T360.

 

Honda Acty received a motorcycle 2-cylinder engine, 545 cc, which produces 28 hp and 41 Hm at 4000 rpm. This was 50% more than the performance of the previous TN 360. The export cars produced slightly more horsepower, namely 31 hp.

 

“Hard worker” was sold in the back of a pickup truck and a van, in 1981 a passenger van with a high roof called Honda street was put on sale.

 

This model received 12-inch wheels (on other modifications until 1983 there were 10-inch wheels), and an engine with an improved cylinder head.

 

In June 1982, the Honda Acty received a minor facelift, with redesigned turn signals and square headlights instead of round ones.

 

Beginning in 1985, the Honda Acty was sold through the new Honda Primo dealer network.

 

Acty was not only sold in Japan, it was also sold in Australia and the United Kingdom.

 

The second generation, Honda Acty, was launched in March 1988, with a new 3-cylinder E05 engine. It has a power of 34 hp and 44 Hm.

 

The first cars were produced in the back of a pickup truck as commercial trucks, and a month later a passenger Honda Acty van was delivered to the Japanese market.

 

Fully driven cars no longer had an automatic transmission.

 

There is a new version for farmers called "Acty Attack" which received a differential lock.

 

In October 1993, the car again underwent some changes, the Honda Acty received a new 44 hp engine.

 

Externally, the model received more square headlights.

 

The third generation Honda Acty was introduced on May 27, 1999, as in the case of the previous one, the passenger van went on sale a month later.

 

With many changes in the design, the new model has retained the central location of the engine, which improves the stability of the mini truck.

 

In 2009, a new generation of Honda Acty was presented at the Tokyo Motor Show.

 

The engine remained the same E07, delivering from 45 hp.

 

The wheelbase has changed compared to its predecessor, it has become shorter by 520 mm, now the minimum turning radius is 3.6 meters.
