DAF XF Heavy Duty Models at a Glance.
The first DAF heavy trucks of the 95 series were produced in 1987, and in 2005 the production of the DAF XF 105 model began, which recognized as the "Truck of the Year" and immediately took a leading position among trucks with similar characteristics.
This truck is designed to transport heavy loads on long-distance routes.
Its advantages: good carrying capacity; ease of management and reliability; directional stability when traveling in various road conditions; ergonomic cab with excellent visibility; powerful engine that meets modern environmental standards and provides economical fuel consumption.
The total weight of the DAF XF models of this line is 18, 26, 32 tons.
Wheelbase options:
2-axle versions - 4.2-6.9 m;
3-axle - 3.1-4.55 m;
4-axle - 4.8 m;
tractors - 3.6 m.
New modifications of DAF XF 105 comply with Euro-4 and Euro-5 standards.
DAF offers several design options that differ in engine power, gross weight and other technical characteristics.
Cabin options. There are only two of them.
The height of the cabin of the first type is 1.735 m, length - 2.25 m.
In the Super Space modification, the height is 2.105 m.
The driver's seat is equipped with its own air suspension.
Available: climate control with integrated air filtration system, microwave oven, small refrigerator.
Engine. The power of the engines used to complete the DAF XF 105 is 410-, 460-, 510 hp.
New modifications of trucks can be equipped with modern engines PACCAR MX-13 12.9 liters (412-510 hp) and PACCAR MX-11 10.8 liters (435 hp), corresponding to the Euro-6 standard.
Gearboxes - 6-speed manual transmission, 12- and 16-speed automatic transmissions.
Heavy vehicles may have a drive axle with wheel reduction gears, allowing the operation of trucks in difficult road conditions.
DAF XF 105 series trucks are equipped with security systems:
ASR - anti-skid control;
VSC - exchange rate stability;
Hill Holder in combination with AS-Tronic gearbox – hill start assist; traditional ABS.
